Project background: several furnaces, one dust collection system
Building a dust collection system for an aluminium alloy melting and casting workshop covers process matching, equipment selection, ductwork planning, electrical integration, installation, commissioning and operator training. Connecting several furnaces with different functions in parallel to one dust collection system places high demands on the system integration capability of the EPC contractor.
GANGPU Environmental delivered this multi-furnace parallel system as a full turnkey package, covering design, manufacturing, transport, installation, commissioning and technical training.

Filter bags and cages
- 630 pcs of Φ160 × 6,000 mm PTFE membrane FMS filter bags with fibreglass base fabric.
- Continuous working temperature 160 - 180 °C; the membrane surface is hydrophobic and breathable, suitable for aluminium melting furnace flue gas with fluctuating moisture.
- Matching cages of Φ155 × 6,000 mm made of cold-drawn steel wire with galvanised finish.
Cleaning and ash handling
- Pulse row injection cleaning with 42 pcs of YM-3" DC24V electromagnetic pulse valves under PLC control.
- FU270 drag chain conveyor for centralised ash discharge, with star airlock valves and slide gate valves.
Ductwork, chimney and insulation
Ductwork from furnace outlets to the collector inlet, the chimney and all supports are supplied as a complete set. The chimney is equipped with inspection ports and a platform for emission monitoring.
Equipment and main ductwork carry 100 mm insulation, adapted to the low winter temperatures of the Ordos region where the plant is located.
